Liu Bei cries over his fat thighs and then Liu Biao recalls the scene where Cao Cao asks Liu Bei to list the heroes of the land. Does a hero of the land cry over fat thighs? I wonder if the author is levelling some subtle undercutting of the the heroic myth. He is more likely stressing how such heroes have a built-in intolerance for idleness.
